The laptop its running on is an MSI Ghost Pro and the desktop its running on is based on an Asus Mini-ITX mobo with various other standard parts. I've not had any false positives like you (on either of my machines) but that may be due to the fact that i'm running more standard equipment (custom built, but still standard parts). What's weird is that I've now installed it on 2 machines and both have been auto-activated for a similar length of time so i've no idea what's going on that makes my machines get free activation. As for the free activation, evidence shown by pic attached. That and the fact that the surface book is a fairly new device on the market so its not surprising it might be flagged by software such as this. Must be the way MS has designed the connectivity between the two parts that are causing false positives to Hitman. Promptly uninstalled it.ĭon't what to say about your surface book. Secondly, it started spawning a bunch of UAC-like alerts that my laptop connected to a new USB HID device (my Surface Book's keyboard dock), and that it could pose a threat.
